VISIT IN SPAIN

WE HAD A GREAT TIME TOGETHER!!!
The experience was for all unforgetable and amazing (as all the project). We worked through two representative buildings in Tomelloso: the bombo and the Inn called Los Portales. We visited the Town-hall, a winery (Verum), Madrid, Toledo, Argamasilla de Alba and Ruidera lagoons. The weather was not too "Spanish" because it was raining everyday but in Toledo and in Ruidera.

23rd NOVEMBER, WE MEET THE COLISSEUM AND THE ROMAN FORUM. ARRIVAL AT SPAIN

We had breakfast at 7.30, so at nine we arrived at the Colisseum. Colossal and magnificent. After the visit, we followed with the Roman Forum and the Piazza Venecia (too big and not so beautiful). Comming back to the Colisseum (and the Underground stop) we saw the Trajan Column and its Forum.

Our plane took off the land at 15.20, and at 22.30 we arrived to Alcazar de San Juan.

EVERYTHING WAS REALLY FANTASTIC.

FOR ALL OF US, THIS EXPERIENCE IS UNFORGETTABLE.

22nd NOVEMBER, GERMAN AND SPANISH GROUPS LEAVES LECCE

We met our students at the train station at eleven. We should take the Eurostar train to Rome: an interesting but tired trip who takes six hours and a half!!!! So you can imagine to all of us!!!

When we got Rome, we were so tired that we just took a walk and saw the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore. After that, we had dinner and came back to the hotel Selene.

WORKING AT THE SCHOOL ....SLOVAK GROUP LEAVES

DURING THIS MORNING, WE'VE BEEN WORKING AT THE LICEO. ALL THE STUDENTS HAVE PREPARED A SURVIVAL DICTIONARY MOTHER TONGUE-ENGLISH-ITALIAN TO HANG IT UP ON THE WEB. WE ALSO HAVE SEEN A LOT OF PHOTOS ALL TOGETHER, AND SOME VIDEOS TOO.

WE HAVE SPENT THE AFTERNOON DOING FREE SHOPPING.

NOW, SLOVAKS ARE GOING.

20.11.07 -> RECEPTION AT THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES AND PARTY

In the morning, teachers are received by the local authorities at the Town Hall.

First of all, party at the school-hall. Turkish group had prepared a show with traditional music and dances. Pizzicata and breakdance groups from Italy also. After that a dj played techno music (so all the students got crazy dancing). Free lunch at school and a meeting with all the teachers.

While students have free time, teachers discuss about the project.

Turkish group leaves at 22.15 at the train station, so students start thinking the visit is already ending.

TAKE A WALK AROUND SALENTO

Today, we met our students at the Liceo Artistico Statale. Then, we've gone around the Salento. We've visited Galatina, Gallipoli (the beautiful city for the Ancient Greeks), Otrento, Acaja...

For us is amazing feel that students use music to understand each other. During the trip, we could participate with dances (specially la Taranta and the Pizzicatta) and songs.

After that, Massimo, our hoster, have taken us to a pizzeria in Cavallino (not a turistic place, so we could taste the good, good, good pizza).

SECOND DAY, NOVEMBER 18

TODAY, TEACHERS AND STUDENTS KEEP SEPARATED. TEACHERS WORK ABOUT THE THE PROJECT, AND STUDENTS STAY WITH FAMILIES.

TEACHERS:
During the morning we've been discussing about aims and concrete questions. Sergio Ventura, Architecture teacher, proposses to create an ideal square as European meeting point. Everyone of all must analyze how the students spend the weekends, and what they do when they are together. Then, they must think on what the would like to have as an ideal meeting point. Finally, each school must do a material (Architecture project, pop song, story, collages, manifesto...) and we will put all together to create the final square as a real-ideal European meeting point.
After work, we have had lunch. A VERY GOOD AND NICE DISHES, cooked by our hosters. We've been invited by the Licceo Artistico Estatale, and the headmistress came with us.

AFTER LUNCH, we've taken a walk around Lecce. All the streets are crowdy and all the buildings show new faces with their lights.

STUDENTS:

They have been with their hoster families, visiting different places around Lecce. During the afternoon they meet the others (Turkish, German, Slovakian...)
